Privacy Policy

Overview

PyRun does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data. PyRun has no accounts, advertising, analytics, telemetry, or cloud synchronization.

Local Files and Code

Python code, Console output, settings, and documents created or opened in PyRun are processed locally on your device by default. Files remain in the app’s local storage or in locations you choose through Apple’s Files interface.

PyRun only exports or shares content when you choose a system action such as Export or Share. PyRun itself does not send your code or documents to Tokyo Iceman or to a remote execution service.

Python includes standard-library features that can access networks. Network activity explicitly initiated by user-written Python code is controlled by that code and by the operating system; it is not data collection performed by PyRun.

The optional Labs package manager is the one feature where PyRun itself makes a network request: when you choose to search or install a package, PyRun contacts the public PyPI registry (pypi.org and files.pythonhosted.org) to look up or download it. This only happens when you explicitly search or install — never automatically or in the background — and the only information sent is the package name you searched for. PyRun does not attach any account, device, or usage data to these requests, and installing a package does not affect editing or running code you already have, which stays fully offline.

Children’s Privacy

Because PyRun does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PyRun’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this policy identifies the current version.
